“Textural Emotion #3: Coral Reef” captures the movement and layered energy of coastal water meeting living shoreline. Deep blues and turquoise tones flow through resin waves, while sculptural textures emerge along the lower edge, evoking the rich, organic forms of coral and coastal growth. The piece blends fluid motion with tactile structure, creating a sense of depth and immersion. From a distance it reads as a sweeping ocean view, but up close the layered textures reveal a more intricate landscape beneath the surface.

 

Part of the Textural Emotion Series, this work explores how texture and fluid mediums can translate natural environments into emotional landscapes. Created by an Alberta artist as part of an evolving body of contemporary mixed media work exploring depth, movement, and organic form.
